UPDATES!!
I think I deserve the award for worst blogger of all time. Life is crazy busy for us with school, David taking the LSAT and applying for law schools, and keeping up with a very active 6 month old. Life is tough and trying at times but I'm loving every second that I get to spend with my little family. I'm going to try my hardest to update you on the past 6 months with pics (may be totally boring if you aren't family).

It has been a great 6 months! We're so excited for B's first Christmas in a couple of weeks. This time of year is even more special when you have your own child.
To start, I have to talk about Brooklyn. I know every parent is biased and says their child is the best and cutest ever but honestly, those things are completely true about my baby girl. As a mom, I couldn't ask for a sweeter, happier, or more easy-going baby. Brooklyn brings so much joy to our lives. I am such a show-off when it comes to her. Every day, she makes me so proud to be her mom. Brooklyn is a very busy bee these days and I know it only gets busier once she starts crawling and walking.
Here are some fun things about Brooklyn:
~At her 6 month appointment she had to get 4 shots. Only cried for a little bit then it was back to all smiles. She is 18 pounds (86th percentile) and 28 1/2 inches long (99.75th percentile!!!!). It's safe to say she is a very healthy big girl!
~She learned how to roll over (from tummy to back) when she was about 5 months old and started sitting up on her own about a week after that.
~She loves to eat anything and everything that comes in contact with her hands and mouth. We started her on some solids foods when she was about 4 months old (she would drink bottles but never really got full). She now eats three solid meals a day and drinks about 5-6 bottles a day. Her favorite foods are pears, squash, green beans, sweet potatoes, apples and blueberries, and chicken noodle dinner.
~She loves her Zoo Animals book! It has little flaps that open and every time she sees it her whole face lights up.
~She no longer wants her paci when she's upset or going to sleep. Rather, she likes to play a game where she puts it in her mouth then tries to put it it mine then back in her own mouth.
~She has never liked to cuddle but if she's in a tired mood she will give little 30 second hugs. Melts my heart every time she does it.
~She babbles and squeals all day long. We hear a lot of "maaaa" when she's crying and "da-da-da-da-da" when she's happy. I think it should be the other way around. ;)
~She's only 6 months old but she's been to California 4 times and to Idaho once. She travels pretty well and only cries when she's hungry or super tired.
David is busy, busy, busy finishing up his personal statement and applications for law school. He takes the LSAT a week from today. He's extremely smart so I know he'll do well on his test. I am taking online classes at UVU this semester. Taking 19 credits and raising a child is very, very hard but very, very worth it!
The past 6 months included:
Playing in CA
Playing some more
B's first trip to the beach
Swimming
EATING
Dad learning how to change messy ones
Thanksgiving Point gardens and pumpkin patch
Dressing up for church
Baths
Bike rides
LOTS of reading
Playing with best friends
Ugly Christmas Sweater party

Update!!
Hey everyone! I'm a terrible blogger, I know. Just wanted to give everyone an update on the past few months of our lives. I am 32 weeks along and I'm sure most of you know already but a couple months ago we found out we're having a.........................

David always wanted his little hunting buddy to be born first but we are both over the moon that we get to have a little girl first. She has been very active, both day and night, and it's really exciting to be able to feel her.
About a month ago I was able to fly down to California for one of my baby showers. It was hosted by a good friend of mine, Barbara Lamprecht, but so many other people helped make it so fun and special. There were yummy salads, rolls, "to die for" cupcakes, and tons of cute gifts for my baby girl. It is always nice to be able to go home and spend time with family and friends and just be able to catch up.

Yesterday, one of my girl friends, Ali Ellsworth, put on another baby shower for me. We had yummy breakfast food and more fun gifts for baby girl.

On another note, after tons of fasting, prayer, and searching, David was able to find a really good job that allows him to support us and finish up his schooling. It is a temp-to-hire job and after 3 months of hard work, he will more than likely be hired as a full-time employee. He should know by the beginning of June so we'll keep everyone posted. Thank you to everyone who has kept us in their constant prayers and thoughts!

Sooo cute!
I know every post for the past little while has been about the baby but we're just too excited! We went in for the first ultrasound today and I have to say it was amazing. We saw the baby moving around and we heard the heartbeat. Everything looked and sounded great! I wish June 5th were here already!

Costa Rica Pics....Finally!
I understand it's been a month and a half since we've been back from Costa Rica so here are some fun pictures. We had such an amazing time and would go back in a heartbeat!
On the first day, we arrived at the house in Quepos. Everything was green and absolutely beautiful!

This is the private beach below our house.

El Avion

Agua Azul

Jaco Taco

We hiked through the Manuel Antonio National Forest. We saw sloths, howler monkeys, toucans, raccoons, and TONS of spider monkeys.

"Don't feed the monkey!"

The monkeys would steal any food. It was hilarious!

We went zip lining and ended our day with about 500 titi monkeys!

We went on a Mangrove tour and played with some monkeys.

After about a week in Quepos, we took the ferry over to Mal Pais which is on the Costa Rica peninsula. We stayed in a little hippie town that had one dirt road and cute shops and restaurants.

Our love van

These suckers were everywhere...

And yes, we tried those suckers...

These little buddies were everywhere too! We had a new dog friend everyday

This is how we got around most of the time in Mal Pais

Surfer dudes

Dad rippin' it up with the little turtle

Thanks mom and dad for such an amazing vacation!
